Who is eligible for the Healthcare workers 'Thank you' special offer?

Our healthcare workers ‘Thank you’ special offer is available globally to all front-line and back office workers from the healthcare industry, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacists as well as all those who work in research laboratories.

The offer is applicable for all MSC Cruises’ sailings of any duration through to the end of 2021.

Note, given the current health and safety restrictions applied in terms of country of residence, only residents of Schengen countries can use this benefit for Summer 2020 cruises currently sailing in the Mediterranean.


Which supporting document do I need to provide? When are they needed?

Upon booking your cruise, you will be asked to provide us with a valid proof of service. We kindly require you provide us with (1) a copy of your ID card and (2) a certificate of your healthcare certificate/official identification.

Those supportive documents must be emailed to our contact center at to receive the discounted healthcare worker ‘Thank you’ fare. Those same supportive documents must also be brought to the ship at embarkation.

If I hold a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) voucher from a previous canceled sailing earlier this year, can I benefit from this offer by redeeming my voucher for the healthcare worker offer?

Yes, you are eligible to redeem your voucher during the promotion period (August 31, 2020 – April 30, 2021) and benefit from our exclusive offer. When you call in for your exclusive promotion, please inform the contact center of the voucher. 

Do healthcare workers have to sail, or can they get their family to benefit from the offer even if they don’t personally sail?

How many staterooms can the healthcare professional bring with them and do they all get the same discount?

The healthcare worker is required to be part of the reservation and must sail in order for the discount to be applied. If two or more staterooms are booked, the discount will be applied only to the stateroom the healthcare professional occupies. This offer is valid for bookings up to April 30, 2021 and allows a healthcare worker to book multiple cruises at a discounted rate during that booking window. The healthcare professional must be personally travelling on each booked cruise to receive the discount.

If I have already redeemed my Future Cruise Credit (FCC) voucher for a future sailing, can I still benefit from this special offer?

No, our offer is not retroactive even for Future Cruise Credit (FCC) vouchers holders. Our healthcare worker ‘Thank you’ offer only applies to new bookings or FCC vouchers redeemed between August 31, 2020 and April 30, 2021.
